Fax Friend/Line Wizard works with VOIP using BT broadband business routers (BT2700) when you set phone line for fax compatability. Using fax friend you can use the VOIP line for both voice and fax calls so no need to purchase the second VOIP connection (phone line 2) to work with your fax.

You can use a Fax Friend/Line Wizard with the Orchid range of PBX systems splitting a single incoming line into two and then connecting the two lines from the Fax Friend to two incoming lines on the PBX. Program the PBX so that the fax line is answered automatically only by the fax extension. This allows the PBX to use the phone line from all extensions and will automatically direct any incoming fax calls direct to the fax machine without ringing the other extensions. The fax recognition in the Orchid PBX requires you to use the DISA setup, this way you can run the PBX in the normal mode and still get a dedicated fax.
