Web Design
Tod Designs provides a web design consultancy which can provide a variety of options from a simple brochure web site, to a fully managed eCommerce solutions for your business.
We have many years experience writing software, for web page design we use HTML, Java Script, Perl and PHP languages with professional design software such as Actinic Designer to provide a complete service.
Our first web design, a simple multi screen web site, was produced over ten years ago, since then we have progressed to full ecommerce sites using Actinic as our solution and can now provide the full service from web design to hosting solutions and Search Engine Optimisation, our aim is to produce a web site that meets your requirements.
This site is designed in Actinic V9.03 incorporating a graphics plug-in we have designed and a menu system designed using PHP code to generate the menu listing from the Actinic database. This is based on work by Gabriel Crowe from the Actinic forum, and modified by us to work with a javascript accordian menu system from the dynamic drive library. This menu system is integrated into Actinic so that any changes to the Actinic design are reflected in the menu automatically.
Search Engines
Often shortened to SEO this is the use of techniques to optimise the web site so that it appears in the first pages of the search engine results for specific phrases relating to the web site. You will find that the Fiddlesticks online web site appears on the first page for many of the phrases that relate to a wool shop which in turn brings more business to the site.
This has been achieved without the need to pay for advertising on the search engines by optimising the web site to meet the requirements of the search engines. We have many years experience with web hosting packages and can recommend a suitable host for your requirements. Our own site is hosted with 1and1 who are based in Germany but we also have sites based with UK hosts, giving us the experience to advise on the most suitable for your application.
